Squeeze the Impossible is part of Yin’s Human Burden series, exploring the relationship between human beings and the limitations we face.

A hard, rigid block of granite has been carved into a living human figure with large hands pushing inward and reshaped the stone.

The posture is intentionally unusual, almost frog-like, inspired by the idea of humanity’s ancient connection to amphibian life. The figure seems playful and humorous, but the meaning behind it is serious.

The oversized hands are a recurring element in Yin’s work. Here they appear soft and gentle, almost like the compassionate hands seen in Buddhist sculpture. Yet these same hands possess extraordinary strength—they are powerful enough to squeeze and reshape granite.

The sculpture is a reflection on human potential. We often believe that certain challenges are impossible to overcome, but throughout history human beings have continued to imagine, create, and transform limitations into possibilities.

For Yin, the work is not about defeating the world through force. It is about the quiet strength of persistence—the belief that with imagination and determination, we can reshape even the hardest circumstances.
